This is a quick and easy project for those who are looking to make a festive decoration for their Christmas tree. It can be done in about 15 minutes with only three basic materials and a paw print from your pet.
What you will need:
- Salt (1 cup)
- Water 1/2 cup)
- Flour (1 cup)
Step 1)
Let’s preheat your oven to 200 degrees to start.
Step 2)
Add your salt, water and flour into a medium to large mixing bowl. Mix and knead until they turn into a soft dough.
Step 3)
From your dough, shape 2-3 inch balls and roll out each ball flat onto a clean surface or parchment paper.
Step 4)
Using a round cookie cutter, cut the dough into a circle. Use a straw or other object to make a small hole where you want the string to run through for hanging your ornament.
Step 5)
Time for your cat or dog to join in! Using their paw, softy make an imprint into the dough until you reach the desired shape. Remove their paw and wipe off any extra dough on them. Place ornament on parchment paper and bake for 2 hours.
Step 6) Optional
Using your favorite color acrylic paint, paint the paw print to give your ornament a personal touch. Run your string through the hole and time to hang your ornament on the tree!
